Description
Academy Award winners Tom Hanks and Julia Roberts come together for Larry Crowne, a romantic and optimistic comedy about how the hard knocks from today's recession inspire one everyday guy to undergo a personal reinvention and find an unexpected second act in his life: Larry Crowne. The collection's 14 tracks span more than three decades and include Tyler Hilton's previously unreleased "Faithful." It features three Tom Petty songs: two with the Heartbreakers, "Listen To Her Heart" and "Walls (No. 3)," and one solo, "Runnin' Down A Dream," from the 1989 multi-platinum smash Full Moon Fever. A pair of Electric Light Orchestra songs are also included: "Hold On Tight," from 1981's Time, and "Calling America," from 1986's Balance of Power. The remaining songs reflect a wide range of musical styles and moods by contrasting the smooth coolness of Smokey Robinson's Top 10 smash "Cruisin'" with the rough-edge riff of Billy Squire's "The Stroke," and balancing the high-energy beats of Swingfly's "Something's Got Me Started" with the heartfelt introspection of Jarrod Gorbel's "I'll Do Better." The soundtrack was produced Tom Hanks and Gary Goetzman.
