Manuel learns that his imprisoned father is going to be executed in the next week at a Texas prison. The only problem is that Manuel lives in Mexico and his wife is expecting their firstborn within the week. So, Manuel decides to trek across Mexico with his camera toting friend, Diego, and make a documentary that turns out to be both heartwarming and funny.
